旧民主主义革命
旧民主主义革命是指从1840年鸦片战争爆发到1919年“五四运动”爆发这一段时期的历史。这段时期大致可分为：1840-1901年，以太平天国和义和团运动为代表的农民革命;1901-1919年，资产阶级民主革命。旧民主主义革命是由资产阶级领导的，以建立资本主义社会和资产阶级专政的国家为目的并反对外国侵略和本国封建统治的革命。旧民主主义革命期间先后出现了六次较大的运动，代表着历史的发展方向。

Old Democratic Revolution
The Old Democratic Revolution refers to historical events from the outbreak of the Opium War in 1840 to the "May Fourth Movement" of 1919. It can be generally be divided into the following stages: the peasant revolution represented by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and Boxer Rebellion (1840-1901) and the bourgeois-democratic revolution (1901-1919). The Old Democratic Revolution was led by the capitalism class with a goal of establishing a capitalist society and autocracy. They opposed foreign aggression and the domestic feudal system. The Old Democratic Revolution is segmented into six major movements that form a cross-section of historical trends.
