关汉卿
关汉卿(1219-1301年)，元代杂剧奠基人，元代戏剧作家。关汉卿与白朴、马致远、郑光祖并称为“元曲四大家”。关汉卿的元杂剧内容具有强烈的现实性和弥漫着昂扬的战斗精神，现存世的元杂剧18部，最著名的作品是《窦娥冤》。他的散曲内容丰富多彩，格调清新刚劲，具有很高的艺术价值，被誉为“曲圣”。

Guan Hanqing
Guan Hanqing (1219-1301) was the playwright to pioneer drama in the Yuan Dynasty. He is known as one of the “four major masters of Yuan opera” alongside Bai Pu, Ma Zhiyuan, and Zheng Guangzu. His dramas feature strong realism and an accurate portrayal of life’s struggles. There exist 18 Yuan dramas, amongst which Injustice to Dou E is the most famous. His sanqu features rich and colorful content, clear and vigorous style, and a high artistic value. He is honored today as the "saint of qu".
